Passionate About What We Do
At Powerhouse Auto & Diesel, you can expect expert service from experienced mechanics who are passionate about what we do. As car owners and mechanics, we know the common auto repair services required by any make and model vehicle. One of the most frequent issues is with the engine, which can be caused by various factors, such as overheating, oil leaks, or worn-out parts. Regular oil changes, replacing the air and fuel filters, and keeping the cooling system in good condition can help prevent engine problems. Another common issue is with the brakes, which can wear out over time and require replacement. Squeaking or grinding noises when applying the brakes or a spongy brake pedal are signs of brake issues that must be addressed promptly for safety reasons. Transmission problems can also occur and may require repair or replacement. Low fluid levels, worn-out parts, or vehicle misuse can cause this. Fuel system, exhaust system, or turbocharger issues occur for diesel vehicles. Regular maintenance, such as replacing the fuel and air filters, can help prevent these issues. If problems arise, they can often be fixed by repairing or replacing the affected parts. If you’re ready to have your vehicle maintained or repaired, call the Powerhouse Auto & Diesel team at (346) 452-6316 or stop by the shop at 12815 Huffmeister Rd. Cypress, TX 77429 to speak to the team in person. We look forward to serving you and your auto repair and maintenance services.

Powerhouse Disesel is the best place for your diesel truck repair and maintenance. They did a great job for me on a recent front end rebuild, truck tracks well and drives great. They are also reasonably priced. They also do a great and honest job of helping me maintain my vintage ’68 Ford Camper Special.
I can’t say enough good things about Power House Diesel & Auto and the owner, Al. I towed my 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 (6.7L diesel) to Al after a dealership tried to charge me nearly $6,000 for repairs that weren’t even necessary. Al took the time to actually diagnose the issue and found that all it needed was one part replaced — total came out to around $2,000 parts and labor. From start to finish, Al was honest, upfront, and professional. It’s rare to find a mechanic who truly puts int… Read More
Did an awesome job with my lift on my Bronco! Also shaved down the wheel well for additional clearance for my now bigger 37’s. Super honest guys, got me in and out, and a few months later everything is still running great!
I was having issues with my brakes. Took my car in to them and they also found an issue with my battery I had no idea of. Al gave me a call to explain my battery should still be covered under warranty and to check with the place where I had gotten the battery a year prior. Thanks for catching that! It saved me from issues further on down the road (pun intended lol). Great attention to detail and great customer service! Thanks Powerhouse! Thanks Al!
Took my 2009 Honda Odyssey for a wheel alignment, and they did a wonderful job realigning the wheel. The steering wheel used to hug the left when the wheel was straightened out, but once they did the alignment it was fixed. They also did it in a timely manner, and at a reasonable price
Great guys and great service! Had my Ram 2500 back on the road in less than 24hrs. I literally called them when my wheel bearing went out and drop my truck off at 3PM. He had to replaced both sides and it ready for me by noon the next morning so we could go out of town This is the 2nd time I experienced great service here.
Needing our daughter’s 2011 car checked over for her drive up to IL for college. They took care of everything I wanted & found a safety issue that we were happy to get fixed. They had it done quickly for us. We made the drive safe & sound & the car drove well!! Great service
This is the second time I’ve brought my car here for an oil change and to check an engine light issue. They diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it. The manager/owner is very friendly. This shop is well-organized and conveniently located near my home. I highly recommend it!
Al and his team have become a very valuable member(s) of our ambulance service. Even though many aspects of an ambulance are typical to any +size vehicle there are many things unique to an ambulance also! They not only tasked themselves to learn these unique systems they have excelled!
If cars could talk, this would definitely be the friend who complains about everything but never actually does anything about it. "My brakes are squealing, my engine`s knocking, and don`t even get me started on my alignment!" Sound familiar? We speak fluent car complaint.
Your car`s check engine light isn`t just a fancy decoration – it`s basically your engine throwing a tantrum and demanding attention. When that little orange glow appears, your car is literally saying "Help me, I`m having feelings!" Time to bring it in before those feelings turn into expensive therapy sessions.
Alright, car enthusiasts! We`ve got a challenge for you today.

That rattling sound under your hood might be your car`s way of asking for a tune-up. Modern engines are basically sophisticated computers with pistons, and they need regular maintenance to keep running like the day you drove off the lot. Listen to what your car is telling you.
Did you know the average car has over 30,000 parts working together? It`s like a mechanical orchestra where every component needs to play its part perfectly. When one section goes off-key, our diagnostic tools help us find the troublemaker fast.
Your car`s air filter is basically its face mask – when it`s clogged with dirt and debris, your engine can`t breathe properly. A dirty air filter makes your car work harder and drink more gas, like trying to run a marathon while breathing through a straw.
Winter driving tip: Your tires are the only thing connecting you to the road, so treat them like your best friend. Check that tread depth with a penny – if you can see Lincoln`s whole head, it`s time for new shoes. Cold weather makes everything shrink, including tire pressure.
